Desert Hot Springs, California

Desert Hot Springs, incorporated in 1963, is a small, rapidly growing city in the Coachella Valley region of Riverside County located In the Low Desert north of Palm Springs, south of the Morongo Basin Region and east of the Banning-Beaumont Region. The Southern California community is adjacent to North Palm Springs which is to the south. Desert Hot Springs is named for its many natural hot springs that are clean and odorless. In, addition to the 20 hot springs, there are several cold mineral springs within the community.

 

Desert Hot Springs Historical Society

The Desert Hot Springs Historical Society, founded in 2007 and incorporated in 1963, is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to preserving, acquiring, and displaying the local history of Desert Hot Springs and the surrounding area. Memberships are available and welcome as are volunteers. The headquarters of the organization is located in the historic Pueblo house where the archives of the organization are maintained and where membership meetings are held.

 

Cabot's Pueblo Museum

Cabot's Pueblo Museum also known as Cabot's old Indian pueblo museum and Cabot's Trading Post is a historic house and'museum located in Desert Hot Springs in the Coachella Valley region
of Riverside County north of Palm Springs. The four-story, 5,000 square foot museum contains American Indian and Alaskan Native American artifacts, memorabilia, and art which is available for
visitors to view. The California State Parks Office of Historic Preservation lists Cabot's Pueblo Museum as Yerxa's Discovery which was an early pioneer who constructed the Hopi-style pueblo.

 

Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Coachella Valey Chamber of Commerce includes the neighboring city of Desert Hot Springs which is located to the north.
